One of the most important things to think about is the color. A boho bathroom is multicolored. We should consider, above all, the colors associated with the Orient, so it would be brown, red or turquoise. However, to avoid solely intense shades, it is worth soothing them with softer pastel colors. They will be an amazing background for intense colors. Earthy tones will also work well.

Boho bathroom – what to place in it?

Boho is a multidimensional style, so our bathroom should be decorated with items that not only differ in color, but also in texture. Since boho refers to the hippie style, there should be natural materials there, like wood. Exotic wood will work perfectly in the bathroom, but it is a pretty expensive investment. Instead of regular wood, we can opt for wood-like tiles, which will look almost identical.

It is also worth investing in a variety of fabrics. Towels or rugs in oriental or floral patterns placed by the shower or a bathtub will emphasize the character of the arrangement. If the investor wishes to add more elegance to their bathroom, he should make sure their bathroom looks shiny. What adds flavor to any arrangement are various types of decorations. In boho style, souvenirs brought back from exotic travels are the right choice. However, home accessories in bohemian style are often made of materials that are not resistant to moisture, so we should think them through. What will work best then?

Various kinds of scented candles and incense sticks add style. They will create a pleasant and warm atmosphere with a hint of the smell of the Orient in the bathroom. It is worth investing in the mentioned woven baskets. Both small baskets for petty cosmetics and trinkets as well as large laundry baskets are just perfect. Shells, for example, are this type of holiday souvenirs that can be safely placed in the bathroom.

What’s more, we should consider the design of towels and bathroom rugs. They should not only be functional, but also harmonize with the entire decor in terms of color and patterns. Since nature is important in the bohemian style, we can opt for potted plants in the bathroom. There are species that love high level of humidity. And if we have any space left, the perfect cherry on top of this bohemian cake will be glittering vases and bottles.

Boho bathroom – how to combine functionality with aesthetics?

There are design styles we don’t need to be an expert on to create something harmonious and stylish. But there are also more demanding styles, where the sense of taste determines whether the outcome is satisfying, and boho belongs exactly to this group. Generally, we have to remember that what comes first in the bathroom is its functionality. It must fit all the basic equipment and sanitary facilities. Only once they are arranged we can think about decorations. If we plan to decorate a large bathroom, this task is not very difficult, but when it comes to a smaller area, we have to be careful not to overdo it.

Bathroom fixtures have a lot to offer. The simple and modern ones, as well as those with unusual shapes and in vintage style will look great. In bohemian design, fixtures should be treated as a decoration, an addition emphasizing the character of the arrangement. We should remember that the fittings by the sink and the shower enclosure should belong to the same set and have the same color scheme.

When choosing furniture, we should consider the materials mentioned earlier, so wooden and braided furniture, for example, will be suitable. With darker wooden furniture the bathroom will look very elegant, and with braided furniture it will look casual and have a slightly holiday vibe. When it comes to smaller bathrooms, an important decorative element would be hanging shelves. Decorative candles or cute baskets filled with cosmetics can be placed there. This solution is stylish and functional.
