Bathroom without tiles

October 2020
Bathroom without tiles? This is one of the strongest trends in interior design for several seasons! Thanks to the use of such materials as natural stone, wood, concrete or waterproof wallpapers and paints you can achieve an original and customized bathroom interior design.

Lack of tiles in the bathroom, as it turns out, has a lot of advantages. First of all - costs. Glaze means a big investment, especially when you want to cover whole walls and floors with it. Another reason for resigning from tiles is the difficulty of disassembly, which is associated with a huge amount of dust and workload, so once laid tiles usually stay in the bathroom for many years. However, there are several alternatives worth considering, thanks to which the bathroom gains a distinct character.

Another natural material - wood - will also work in the bathroom. It warms it up by creating an alternative to the cool materials needed to equip this interior - ceramics, metal and glass. Wood can be used for bathroom accessories, but also for larger elements, such as bathtub casing, shower tray or even the floor. The most important thing is to choose the right species of wood for the bathroom, resistant to moisture and temperature changes. Exotic tree species work best here: teak, jatobe, cedar, doussie, marbau, iroko, lapacho, badi and wenge - these have the greatest resistance to moisture, so they can be placed near the sink, bathtub or shower.

For a long time now, brick has prevailed in the arrangements of living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms. Now it takes control of the living rooms and dining rooms. It can cover all walls or only selected areas of the room and can be painted in your favorite color. Bathroom with brick is recommended especially for lovers of modern, Scandinavian, retro, industrial and rustic style.
